Where it all began

Music, creativity, and the call of the psyche

Born and raised in France, Bernard began his professional life as a musician and a film music composer. Concurrently, Bernard developed a strong interest in psychology and human consciousness. In 2004, these interests led him to pursue personal research in Gestalt, transpersonal and Jungian psychology, as well as in shamanism and psychedelic studies.

Academic training and professional shift

From personal inquiry to therapeutic work

Shortly after moving to California with his family, Bernard put aside his musical career to assist his wife with the creation of Duverger, a company specialized in the making of French macarons. In 2012, after a decisive shamanic experience, Bernard started studying clinical psychology at Antioch University, Santa Barbara, CA. A few years later, Bernard decided to pursue a degree that could deepen his understanding of the human psyche and then transferred into a Ph.D. program in Depth Psychology with a specialization in Somatic Studies at Pacifica Graduate Institute, Carpinteria, CA, which he completed in 2022.

Bridging traditions

From indigenous wisdom to contemporary life

In addition to his academic training, Bernard was fortunate to work, over the past 19 years, with healers in several indigenous traditions from Peru and Mexico, who allowed him to expand his understanding of the psycho-spiritual realms and to bridge traditional shamanic wisdom with modern depth psychology and Christian spirituality.

Today, Bernard lives in Nosara, Costa Rica, with his wife, Claire, and their four sons. He shares his time between working with clients, managing the family business, and taking care of his beloved family.
